My lines get “borrowed” sometimes.

Years ago, I came up with this phrase: People who don’t like their beliefs being laughed at shouldn’t have such funny beliefs.  Before long, I started seeing it published on various web sites in lists of atheistic or skeptical quotations, attributed to “anonymous”.  Eventually, I started contacting those web sites to correct them regarding the origin of that line.  Some of them made the appropriate corrections.

Today, I saw another of my little ditties being shown to the world without proper attribution, posted on the Facebook page for Anti-Theists. Pro Active Atheists. Opposing Religious Harm:

get over it - fake

I invite you to compare that to something I created many years ago:

Now, I don’t mind if people borrow my ideas.  Really, I don’t.  But is it really too much to ask that you give proper attribution to the person who came up with it in the first place?

Also, I think the graphics in the original version are a helluva lot better.  😛
