Here are a few photos from today.
What a beautiful crisp and clear day. I went for the usual walk and took the usual photos of the usual things.
I went for a walk in the bush along the Buckley River last Thursday, October 2, and enjoyed the autumn colours. Here’s a bit of what it looked like.
A few photos from November 6, 2013, taken at a beautiful spot along the Bulkley River at approximately 55°14’51.25″N, 127°39’7.56″W.
Today I stopped to take photos of what I’d always assumed was an eagle’s nest on top of a utility pole near the shore of Lake Kathlyn, by Highway 16 a little way west of Smithers, BC. I was fortunate enough to catch it with a bird in it and, whaddaya know, that’s not what eagles look like, neither adults nor young. That’s an osprey!
On Christmas morning, I took Meeka for a nice romp on a frozen lake. She loved it. She always gets more excited when we go somewhere we haven’t gone before and this flat expanse inspired her to run and play with great enthusiasm.
“Burst Shot” mode on a camera is a wonderful thing. It enabled me to get this shot, which I most likely would not have been able to make otherwise.
